SharePoint 2013 is the latest version for SharePoint on-premise installation. Compared to SharePoint 2010, it includes many new features specially related to Content Management, Search, Analytics, Enterprise Social Networking etc.

Microsoft recently released IT preview of SharePoint 2016. Actual release of SharePoint 2016 is expected sometime next year.
