As more and more enterprises tap in to the Microsoft cloud and look to Office 365 to mobilize their workforce, Power BI – Microsoft’s Office 365-based analytics platform – has positioned Microsoft as a leader in cloud-based analytics platforms as well. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, expects $500 million in annualized billings from Power BI for its 2018 fiscal year and is excited about future growth opportunities as Microsoft continues to expand it’s impact in business intelligence.

Recognition from Gartner, and the growing impact of their cloud-based analytics solutions, reflects Microsoft’s vision of empowering productivity across every organization in today’s data-driven, mobile workforce.

The following is an excerpt the Microsoft Power BI Blog press release:

“It is Microsoft’s perspective that this (milestone) underscores our global leadership and its relentless commitment to innovation, agile execution, and visionary roadmap to deliver high-value to customers and partners in a constantly changing market.

Power BI has helped transform hundreds of thousands of businesses around the world by providing self-service analytics at scale.”
